MBBS Seats for Foreign Students in Nepal
Annually, hundreds of foreign students comes to Nepal to pursue MBBS. The Government of Nepal allocates MBBS seats to foreign nationals. The number of seats available for foreign nationals in public medical colleges is very limited but private medical colleges has some flexibility. Private medical colleges are allowed to reserve 33% to 50% of their total enrollment capacity for the foreign students.

In 2025, the Medical Education Commission (MEC), fixed an annual intake of 749 MBBS seats for foreign students.
